A perfumed and exceptionally pretty nose speaks mostly of the cool essence of red cherry, anise, exotic tea and a floral top note. The medium weight flavors possess a silky mouthfeel while exuding evident minerality on the focused and lingering finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is classic Combe d'Orveau. - BH

Dark crimson to purple. There is a significant added depth of fruit now we are in 1er Cru territory, including some dark cherry notes. Sucrosity in the middle and salinity at the back, an unusual mix. Now some ripe strawberries too. Really quite long. Drink from 2027-2033. - JM
